The novel, My Government Means to Kill Me, by Rasheed Newson takes us back to the 1970s and 1980s, during the AIDS crisis, from the point of view of an African American man. The detail and observations are excellent, although there isn’t much of a story. And the ending is so abrupt, I thought there were pages missing. Still a worthwhile read to get a unique perspective about what it meant for a minority survive AIDS.
