Little Theater

Little Theater by Justin Tanner had the makings of a hysterical send up of equity waiver theaters in Los Angeles in the 1990s but Mr. Tanner decided to use the play as semi-autobiographical cathartic therapy session about his relationship with the owner of the El Centro Theater. The firework scenes of verbal abuse fail to lift this emotionless two-hour experience. A major disappointment from one of my favorite playwrights.
