America and the Holocaust by Ken Burns is essential viewing. The horrific detailed images of the decimation of 6 million Jews has never been as harrowing as depicted in this film. But what makes the three-part documentary especially frightening is the antisemitism during WW2 and beyond. I was shocked by the anti-Jewish sentiment by the general public along with the disbelief that genocide was taking place. It will take me awhile to stop having nightmares after watching the film.
