The Old Man is a slow moving mystery with confusing side stories. Yes there is a thrill in seeing Jeff Bridges and John Lithgow show off their acting skills but sticking with the series may not be worth it unless you have patience. It’s nice to see Amy Brenneman find surprising depth in a supporting role.
