An unrecognizable Mila Tunis and Glenn Close beautifully feed the melodrama between each other in this mother with daughter who is an drug addict premise. Rodrigo García tenderly directs this film that threatens to become a two character stage play. Ultimately he almost makes us forget that we’ve seen this story countless of times.
