Paul Greengrass directs this 1870 Texas confederate drama where Tom Hanks plays a journalist who roams the state giving the public updates about current events, brilliantly. Tom ends up having to deliver an orphaned native American to relatives and the film becomes “a horse hits the road trip adventure ”picture. Gorgeously filmed and designed.
