Just when you think this film will be another message bio-pics about Fred Hampton-chairman of the Illinois Black Panthers, the movie ventures into brilliant timeless territory. With a whiz bang cast headed by Daniel Kaluuya, the film digs deep into police and government racism. There is a chilling scene between an unrecognizable Martin Sheen as Edgar Hoover and Jesse Plemons as his Hoover’s handler that will ripple your core.
