Poem of the Week-Piggy

Delicacy of hogs

Dainty pig feet

Carry the weight

Sausages disgust me

Bacon doesn’t deserve me

Earlobes hear their chortle

Piglets dangling as they feed

Squeaking milk from mother

Breast emptying imagery

Crying about the missing passion

Collecting miniatures

Glass, wood, china, crystal

The legacy of my uncle’s dead partner

An easy gift to bring me

A habit easy for me to break

It sticks to my family and friends

Potbelly buddha helps me meditate

Mindfulness escapes anxiety

When pigging out didn’t collapse my stomach

When counting the curio cabinet of pigs

By Ashley and Michael

Made me smile

Laughing as they trudge through mud baths.
