The play lacks a gut-wrenching outburst that pulls the audience out of complacency. The plot of a young wife dealing with the death of her husband, his controlling icy mother and the husband’s work mate add up to a pointless 90 minutes. The actors are delivering their performances into a vacuum. The play could come together since this was one of the last previews before opening night. Although I suspect that the core of the piece is lacking.
