Put two electrifying actresses Lisa Barnes and Jordan Boatman on stage and give them thrilling divisive dialogue and you have the makings of theater magic. The teacher and student “debate” about the American Revolution and slavery is made riveting by playwright Eleanor Burgess. The play builds to an explosive first act ending followed by a let the rockets fly second act finale. Don’t expect a good night’s sleep after you’ve been filled to the brim with thought provoking dilemmas addressed during the two- hour running time. It’s worth it.
