I am musing about the glorified days when PBS presented stunning Masterpiece Theaters on a weekly basis. Where is The Brideshead Revisited? Jewel and the Crown? Upstairs Downstairs? Instead we get a tired The Woman in White. I’ve never understood the fascination with this ghost story. I suffered through the Daniel Radcliffe movie a few years back. I tried listening to the Andrew Lloyd Webber musical take. This new five-episode limited series fails to entice. The dry flat British direction left me iced. Despite the easy on the eye male lead, I failed to believe the acting. So this is a no go.
