Spotify releases

Great week for Spotify releases. Calum Scott’s “Only Human” is the kind of silky r&b pop that bristles with hooks and inviting lyrics. This easy on the eyes gay artist will be a welcome addition to your playlist. Highlight tracks are the title song and “Give Me Something”. Nathaniel Ratecliff & the Night Sweats has been playing constantly on my I-phone.  Their “Tearing at the Seams” album will make you grin.  The irresistible “Intro” returns me to the sixties when The Young Rascals ruled my world. And finally if you really want to return to the golden era of pop you must listen to Jeremy Messersmith’s “Late Stage Capitalism”. OMG—there are references to Burt Bacharach, Mama’s and Papa’s, and the Turtles. You will be transported back to another era.
