Joy Gregory’s Saint Megan, directed by Lina Patel at Rogue Machine, is an ambitious, thought-provoking & emotionally resonant drama that transforms the true story of Megan Phelps-Roper’s break from the Westboro Baptist Church into an exploration of faith, family, and identity. Unfortunately, it covers too much ground. Too many characters and not enough of a plot to engage the audience. A rate miss by Rogue Machine. Of course, this was a preview and the kinks could be worked out.
