A taut, claustrophobic survival thriller, The Last House—adequately directed by Louis Leterrier & foolishly written by Matthew Robinson—leans on the melodramatic performances by Greta Lee and Wagner Moura. But I still found it entertaining if I didn’t think about the stupidity of a family sealed shut in their house by sea creatures!
