Transformation and Acceptance is about two brothers. Josh, a gay HIV-positive man who needs a kidney transplant, and his brother Ben, a homophobic father who has a son that may be gay. Both Ben and his son are matches for the kidney transplant.

Not only does the novel lead up to who will be the donor, but a revelation by the son will put into question acceptance and transformation by both Josh and Ben.
