The Great Lillian Hall showing on Max is a superb film about an aging actress coping with dementia. The cast that includes Jessica Lange, Lilly Rabe and Kathy Bates are superlative. Michael Cristofer directs beautifully and the screenplay is by Elisabeth Seldes–Annacone. The film is loosely based on the actress Marian Seldes, who is Elisabeth Seldes Annacone’s aunt.
