The Son on Netflix is beyond disappointing. The pregnant pauses by the all the actors left me befuddled because it was impossible to understand their motivation—it felt like blank stares. For me to complain about a dysfunctional film melodrama with Hugh Jackman, Laura Dern and Anthony Hopkins, takes a lot of mistakes by the director and writer Florian Zeller cowritten by Christopher Hampton.
