Aftersun is a head scratcher. I used a $6.00 credit from Amazon Prime to watch this Oscar nominated film—Paul Mescal for lead actor. Mescal is an excellent actor but it is impossible for me to understand this nomination. Two of his pivotal scenes are done with his back to the camera. The writing and direction of Charlotte Webb left me ice pick cold. Thank goodness I didn’t spend money on this lame film.
