David O. Russel directs the hell out of Amsterdam. With an all star cast–Christian Bale, Margot Robbie, Anna Taylor Joy, Robert De Niro, Mike Myers, Michael Shannon, and Chris Rock that seem to be enjoying themselves more than the viewer deserves. The busy eccentric plot does no favors to this based on a true incident film. But ultimately this is a fantastic failure worth a look see.
