The Calling, created and written by David Kelley and directed by Barry Levinson is beyond awful. How could these masters of tv and film take the premise of an orthodox Jewish detective who uses the torah to help him solve cases and create this contrived, stilted and unbelievable series? Now that’s a mystery that needs to be solved.
