Director Lila Neugebauer turns the film Causeway into a subtly brilliant showcase for Jennifer Lawrence and Brian Tyree Henry who have stunning intimacy. The movie is about Lawrence returning from Afghanistan with a TBI injury where she not only has to regain her physical and mental faculties but also adjust to civilian life. Somehow director Neugebauer makes it seem fresh.
