Poem of the Week-Wedding Bells

Wedding day at Maggiano’s

No butterflies the night before

Just another moment

That lasted ten years

The crinkles around Neal’s eyes

Subtract years

Compliments his smile

The brown-grey hair

Contours his face

With ears that hear

Every nuance

The bowtie caresses

And seals his iron white striped

Shirt

The suit hugs his shoulders

The way me hugs me.
