The play The Inheritance written by Mathew Lopez is epic in length (part 1-3 hrs. & 10 minutes), and themes which makes for an uneven experience. But the end of part 1 is one of the best endings for a non-musical I have ever seen. The lead Juan Castano energetically thrills and overshadows the remaining performers including co-star Adam Kantor. Ideas get muddled and prevents any emotional engagement. Yet this is important work that should be witnessed if you have a good dose of patience. Part 2 is superior to Part 1 and despite the similar length, always engaging.
