Poem of the Week-Simplifying Gone Wrong

Mom took the idea

Of simplifying your life

To an extreme

Discarding warranties for gadgets

T. J. Max Receipts to enable returns

Washington Mutual Bank statements

So when I lost the pink card

To my 2008 Camry

I could blame my mother’s gene

Or the time my Wherehouse

Gift card disappeared

Or my birth certificate

My husband never throws out

Anything

And temporary losses

Become finds

Go figure
