Peter Dinklage gives a commanding performance as Cyrano and switching a large nose for being a “little person” is genius. And of course, the cinematography, art direction and costume design are impeccable along with Joe Wright’s sublime direction. But why the film was made into a musical is a head scratch and the words and music of the songs do not serve the story.
