I never thought Paul Thomas Anderson could top his canon of work- Boogie Nights, Magnolia, Punch Drunk Love, and There Will Be Blood, but Licorice Pizza soars with originality, tender love, and the ultimate recreation of valley in the 1970s supported by an impeccable song selection. His direction of the large cast of characters is phenomenal is topped by the two leads Alana Halm and Cooper Hoffman. But the actor that steals the film is Harriet Sansom Harris. Her five minutes are on screen are brilliantly funny.
