Although this is a straight forward taping of a live performance of the Broadway musical about the aftermath of 9/11 and the impact on a Newfoundland town where hundreds of airplanes were diverted, there are many pleasures to be found. The intimacy of the camera as the cast recreates dozens of characters helps recreate theater magic for the viewer. And the inspirational message is the perfect antidote for the doomsday scenario our world is heading.
