Returning to live in door theater was charged with emotional resonance last night at Disney Hall. Seeing Dudamel for the first time was an added bonus. With a varied program that included two eclectic pieces, one by Jessie Montgomery and the other by Steven Mackey, it formed an enchanting evening of stirring music. Mahler’s 4^th symphony after intermission sent chills down our spine with the percussion section working overtime and the thrill of hearing Camilla Tilling bare her soprano soul was blistering.
