For those of you that are unfamiliar with the characters from The Sopranos series, this movie may be confusing and frustrating. Yet there are enough moments of artistic filmmaking and acting to make this prequel an engaging experience. Highlights were a scene where Vera Farmiga reacts to a highschool counselor who identifies the intelligence and leadership of her son (Tony Soprano-who will become a murdering mafia chief later in life) and an drowning in the ocean. And of course having James Gandolfini’s real life son playing his father is a stroke of genius.
Ok I will try it
