There are enough mystery contrivances to make your head explode in this limited series. The drugged up anti-hero detective in a small town played by a sleep walking Jeff Daniels has to deal with infidelity, covering up the crimes of his lover’s son ( Maura Tierney) , Pennsylvania poverty, failure to use a sport scholarship, and infantile rage. This is based on the first two episodes but I doubt it will get any better if you stick it out.
