Poem of the Week-Memories Can’t Be Torn Down

80 years

Celebration of the depression baby

Taix restaurant echoes

Parking history

Sunsetting the architecture

Glowing in the DNA

Where each syllable

Lit her ocean aquas

Throngs of jubilation

Circling her landmarks

Armed with chronicles

No wilting bougainvillea

The wisteria stirs

Draped in violet chains

Blooming on Long Island

Showy and quick growing vines

Running to mom.
