Another incomprehensible six-episode series from writer Harlan Coben. Coben is a miniseries favorite because of his twisty plots and can easily be adapted from his original setting of New Jersey. This time out the location is Poland which makes for an initial burst of excitement for the viewer. Quickly it descends into multiple insane subplots and an annoying device of flipping between 1994 and today. If you have the patience episodes five and six bring out the suspense guns where all the plot lines converge to a revelatory ending. The theme of parents doing anything to protect their child feels tacked on.
