Elin Hilderbrand finishes her Troubles in Paradise trilogy with her usual finesse. Her attempt to wrap the melodrama up by connecting to the first book doesn’t quite work. The Virgin Island location isn’t as enriching as her usual Nantucket potboilers. But no one write ingratiating characters like Hilderbrand. She combines just the right amount of detail and metaphors to make for easy and compelling reading.
