An unnecessary remake that only provides an excuse for art and costume designers a chance to wow audiences. Kirstin Scott Thomas disappoints as the mysterious Mrs.Danvers. While Armie Hammer as Maxim continues his reign of terror as a sumptuous leading man without much else going for him. Lily James fails to ignite.
