The limited Netflix series Alias Grace adapted from the Margaret Atwood novel which was based on a true story, is compelling viewing. The creaky device of having a psychologist interview Grace about the 1843 murders she was accused of, is overlooked because of Sarah Polley’s stunning teleplay. The beauty of telling this tale in six episodes gives a rich texture to Margaret Atwood’s language. So, if you are doing a Netflix thirty day trial run this should be part of your binging menu.
