Showtime’s Homeland just began its last season. I was riveted with the series eight years ago. The original premise of Brody, a long-term military prisoner who returns to America, and whether he had turned during his imprisonment, was must see television. The show lost its way after the Brody plotline ended. With lead and bi-polar Claire Dane’s motives being questioned because she spent over two hundred days in a Russian jail, the show is coming full circle. The convoluted story lines might confuse you but it’s possible to watch the last season without binging on the first seven. You’ll get the essence and will have saved a good portion of your life.
