Unfortunately, the only thing the new CBC Thursday at 10 P.M. show has going for it is Edie Falco. She dives into the role of a new hired Los Angeles chief of police who happens to be a lesbian. The pilot is a contrived illegal immigrant family separation crooked politician crooked cop story. You would think with all these plot strands, the creator would create interest in future episodes. Alas, that was not on their minds. If this is CBC trying to capture the streaming cable audience combined with the older crowd, they have failed. Edie will survive this disaster but will we?
