Freeform premiered the reboot of Party of Five on Wednesday night. With a new spin dealing with the immigration crisis, the hour drama becomes wrenching and demanding viewing. The heartbreak of the removal of illegal parents that lived in the United States for over twenty years from their five children is beyond comprehension. With no current path to citizenship, this is a common occurrence. Hopefully Party of Five isn’t preaching to the choir. If this series can change one Immigrant hardliner it will be worth it. There is enough entertainment value and well developed characters that will make the message easily digestable.
