Poem of the Week-Armed for exercise

Armchair aerobics

Oasis of seniors

Five men of twenty women

Fearless lady leader

Sweating as she guides us

The tinny songs

From the I-phone

You’ll Never Walk Alone

Keep ligaments aligned

Muscles strained

Tapping knees

Slapping thighs

Extended ankles to toes

Creaking bones

Dancing away the karma

Flirting with ancient ages

Dissolving hidden scar tissue

Freed from calcification

Flying arms praying

Stretched vertebrae begging

For solace

Flexing wrists

Parodying femininity

No breathlessness
