I just discovered Drew Droege. I understand his cult following after witnessing his unique performance. His one man show at celebration theater was a wild 60 minutes of hysteria. This character driven piece about six characters celebrating Doug’s birthday is the good kind of exhausting energetic theater rarely seen. Drew’s unique take on these characters is like a gay Robin Williams on steroids. There are moments of tenderness between the belly laughs that make this a fully satisfying work.
