Never Is Now is based on memoirs of holocaust survivors. This play within a play enables the diverse cast to reflect how the words of the survivors impacts them in 2019. There are two standout moments. Sarah Tubert, a hearing impaired actress, goes deeply emotionally raw and Joey Millin, a immigrant at risk actor, rips your tear ducts. They are the reason this play exists. You can forgive a slight tendency towards preachiness that peppers the production because of these two performers and the theater magic spell that they create. Don’t miss this important, thought provoking and richly emotional seventy-five minute powerhouse theater piece.
