Dana H. is quite an amazing feat as a dramatic play. It takes the actual interviews of the playwright’s mother’s kidnapping and has the actress in the play lip synch to the actual mother’s voice. The brilliant actress makes you forget this contrivance within minutes. Despite my prejudice against one person solo shows, Dana H was able to engage me for its seventy five minute running time. The harrowing kidnapping along with the frustrating consequences and impact is theater gold.
