Stagecraft magic is all full display at the Beverly Hills Wallis Theater. This is a mashup of Peter and The Star Catcher, Moby Dick, Jonah and the Whale, The Robber Bridegroom, and Story Theater. The seven actors play instruments, sing and transport the audience on a sweeping road trip. Think Pippin’ and Candide. I will admit this isn’t my favorite genre. I found myself admiring the talented troupe but not always being carried away by the proceedings. The show never rises to brilliant entertainment due to being  periodically  cutesy and cloying  and having a flat ending.
