The Julia Morgan Legacy event included a historical  fact filled lecture tracing Morgan’s career. The architectural process working with William Randolph Hearst is a revelation. The letters that explained how the Marion Davis  home was built are riveting. It is startling that the home survived the 1994 earthquake damage free. The gorgeous tiles in the bathroom are in pristine condition. The rare concrete basement housed a chandelier unbeknownst to researchers. This free tour with superb docents is a must see attraction.
