Poem of the Week-LACMA

Walking 5.3 miles to LACMA

Exploring fantasies and fairy tales

Franz von Stuck’s 1911 lithograph

Eyes me

Corneas stare at the unshaven face

Healing my sore feet

Restoring the leg muscles

Warming the chilled eye brows

Dashing through the exhibit

The remedy for loneliness

Packing in the curative therapy

Willing myself to return

Public transport solves aching limbs

The tap card paves the way

Fairfax dips into Santa Monica

Splendid transfer timing

I ask if I need to tap charge again

Annoyed Bus driver says yes

As I sit, she anoints me

Hey, you with the hat

Her call beckons me

Free transfers within two hours

Lady Driver makes a happy ending

For my fantasy fairy tale.
