Poem of the Week-Eating

A belch after dinner

Breaks the silence

Gastro juices satisfied

Napkin covers the spread

Host grins

Morsels of spiced emotional crumbs

Scratching the surface of chit chat

Digesting the pathology

Excreting the blemished bites

Hiccups in the conversation

Bulging gas muscles stay closeted

Stiff sitting backs up

Clouded water memories slurp

Spoonful of bloody veins

Fork a windfall

Knife cutting loosens my toughness

Relaxing cups for the finale
