Well I’ve finished the 2018“Boy” trilogy. The best of these films about damaged boys was “Boy Erased”, followed by “Ben is Back” and then “Beautiful Boy”. Timothée Chalamet proves that “Call Me By Your Name” was no fluke. The camera lavishes love on this young dynamite actor. We are in for drug addiction, rehab, and relapse. The relationship with his father played by Steve Carell tries to flesh out the story. The flashbacks are either annoying or confusing. But with Chalamet to guide us through his rollercoaster Meth addiction, we stick around for the long depressing two hour ride.
