Could false rhymes hurt your brain

When Shawn Mendes takes

“And Now I’m without your kisses

I’ll be needing stitches”

Do we care if kisses and stitches

Aren’t real rhymes?

Sondheim would never allow

Films use rhyming to link

Beginnings and endings

In First Man Armstrong’s child loss

Bookends the film

Poem lyrics don’t form a pattern

Scores free music muscles

I hold the knitted fabric

Pushing the sun through the threads

Organize the alternative facts

Rhyming pretends
