I’m scared to admit that I’ve been enjoying “The Conners”. Roseanne leaving the show and her character dying seems to have elevated the quality up and down the line. Once I got passed the depressing season premiere last week where Roseanne’s opioid overdose was covered, the second episode was magnificent. Funny, insightful, and full of promise. Sara Gilbert is a fantastically authentic actress and anchors the sitcom. Johnny Galecki from the Big Bang Theory made a smashing guest appearance as Sara’s almost ex. Hopefully he’ll stick around now that The Big Bang is on its last season. I am slowly getting my feet wet as I have learned to enjoy sitcoms. Even the Murphy Brown reboot has grown on me.
