Poem of the Week-Deodorant

Hustling for a parking spot

Circling the beach streets

The Santa Monica woman

Beckons the car door to open

Relief explodes

Patience settles in

Still silence no movement

Leaving?

Arms above her hand

Rubbing into her arm pits

Deodorant

An odor free car

The auto slides out

I squeeze in

Sunshades protect the leather tops

My Katherine Hepburn

Golden Pond Bonnet

Keeps my 66 year old face

Youngish

Satisfaction and a laugh
